MIGUEL’S WILDHEART MOTEL
Production design
For this project, we were tasked with bringing the surreal vision of singer/songwriter Miguel to life: transforming a seedy motel into a 21-room installation. The final event was both a destination party and visual journey. The limited one-weekend experience included a star-studded karaoke room, as well as, a live concert performance. We art directed and constructed the build-outs for each of the 21 rooms. Each room immersed patrons in Miguel's fantasy world. Highlights included a pink jungle room, a grotto cave room, and an upside-down room, and a “Big Rack Bar”. Celebrities, press, and social media influencers alike all lined up to enter Miguel's magical world. Guests and talent included Rihanna, Skrillex, Dr. Woo, and Travis Scott.
