CAL JAM 2018

ART DIRECTION | FABRICATION | INSTALLATION

In collaboration with BWG, we designed and fabricated the installations for Dave Grohl’s Cal Jam Festival in 2018. Our pieces were placed throughout the festival and included a memorial for Donald Featherstone- the inventor of the pink plastic lawn flamingo- and two gigantic (20x40/80!) entryway rainbows.

Cal Jam is the revival of the historic 1970’s California Jams music festival. We loved pulling inspiration from the original 1970’s California Jams. We curated a carnival and decorated the different hang out zones with 1970’s chill vibes.

We also curated and coordinated the live artists to create murals all around the festival and Stranger Liquids projected some trippy visuals that really set the tone for our relaxation station.
